Dr. Michael B. Russell is the President of Mike Russell & Associates, Inc., a multi-line insurance agency, and is a licensed Insurance Consultant specializing in Churches and Non-Profit organizations. He is a frequent seminar speaker to church leaders on topics such as Church Transportation, Youth Activities, Sexual Misconduct in the Church, Church Violence and how to develop a Safe Church environment.
Dr. Russell has published leadership articles in Christian Coaching Magazine, Innovation Journal, Journal of Strategic Leadership, Journal of Applied Christian Leadership, and he defended scholarly research at the Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence and the Regent University Virtual Leadership Conference. He is also a Certified Leadership Coach.
He is the author of numerous articles for Church Business Magazine, Leadership Advance Online and others, as well as successfully defended research papers before the International Communication Association National Convention at Appalachian State University. He is also the founder of ProtectMyChurch.org specializing in Church Risk Management issues.
Michael holds an undergraduate degree (BA) in Social Work from the University of Arkansas; a Master’s in Communication and Research from the University of Arkansas Fulbright College; a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Wester University in St. Louis, Missouri, and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership with a concentration in Coaching and Consultation from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He has been married to his wife, Brenda, for 48 years and together have
two sons, and six grandchildren.
