Jim and his wife Sheila have 6 children and 14 grandchildren. He is a veteran, and retired law enforcement executive with 36 years of experience. He served as the Undersheriff in Lea County, New Mexico and then served as the Siloam Springs Police Chief in Arkansas. Jim holds a Master of Science in Education, with dual emphasis in Administration and Curriculum & Instruction. In 2019, he retired from law enforcement in order to become the founding Head of School for Sager Classical Academy, a non-profit education provider in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, stewarding their growth from a K-5 school with one campus and 49 students, to a K-12 school, with two campuses and 168 students in just over 4 years. Jim has a deep appreciation for procedures and systems designed to create healthy and safe work environments. He is the Principal owner of Centurion Professional Services, LLC, a firm which consults with newly-formed, emerging, and maturing Christian businesses, helping them build and maintain strong, resilient core practices and systems that honor their employees, their customers and God.
